I believe that education is about free thinking and raising valuable questions rather than memorizing facts and practicing obedience. Research has shown that engaging with the arts promotes critical thinking skills, creativity and curiosity. Through art centered experiences, museum tours, and innovative workshops for families, kids, and educators, I want to uphold these essential skills in learners so they can engage with the world in a more meaningful way.
I aim to create educational environments where questions are more important than answers; where there is comfort with uncertainty.
As a child, I was not a fan of museums, and my mother insisted on dragging my brother and I to all of them! Being a facetious kid, I remember pointing out every EXIT sign to my mother and proclaiming them the most important artworks in any museum. Even more important, was where they led. Today, I create engaging museum experiences and educational programs for kids and their grownups that inspire the love of art and museums, so no one has to rush towards the exit.
